Bazaar

Bazaar is Pakistan’s leading e-commerce and financial services platform. Its mobile and web apps provide homes and businesses with everyday low pricing on an extensive range of products — from groceries to office supplies — along with next-day delivery and an unmatched customer experience. Childhood friends Hamza Jawaid (Co-founder – 32) and Saad Jangda (Co-founder – 32) founded Bazaar in 2020 with the intention of building a high-growth company out of Pakistan. Operating in the ~$200B Pakistani retail market, Bazaar (which translates to marketplace in Urdu) launched with a mobile-based grocery delivery platform that enabled households and retailers (with a special focus on mom-and-pop grocers called kiryanas) to digitally order at low prices everyday. The platform aims to make grocery shopping simple, providing 5,000+ products across 30+ categories, a wide range of local brands, and next-day delivery. After the company’s acquisition of Keenu in 2025, a Pakistani fintech company, Bazaar has become Pakistan’s first integrated e-commerce and payments platform, leading the charge in the country’s digital evolution.
Childhood friends Hamza Jawaid (Co-founder, Strategy – 29) and Saad Jangda (Co-founder, Product – 29) founded Bazaar in 2020 with the intention of building a high-growth company out of Pakistan. Operating in the ~$200B Pakistani Retail Market, Bazaar (which translates to marketplace in Urdu) is building an operating system for traditional retail in Pakistan with a fully integrated platform across marketplace, last-mile, software, and fintech solutions. Its suite of digital products empowers merchants (mainly mom-and-pop grocers called kiryana) to simplify and grow their businesses through commerce and fintech solutions. The company offers retailers, brands, and wholesalers a way to seamlessly and electronically connect with one another for the first time in the market. The Bazaar retail app provides a one-stop-shop to purchase thousands of products for merchants’ stores and the company’s fintech app is a digital ledger for simple bookkeeping, faster debt collection and a lending product for merchants.
